Aren Besim is an Associate Vice President within the Banking and Finance team in Los Angeles, specializing in Systematic Trading & Research.

Partnering with leading Investment Banks, Hedge Funds and Proprietary Trading firms on a global scale, Aren is able to leverage his network to identify niche talent within the areas of Alpha Research and Quantitative Trading across liquid asset classes.

Aren and his team have a proven track record of success, having made hundreds of industry-shaping placements which have had a direct influence on the balance of power across the financial world.

Having joined GQR after being drawn by the opportunity to have a significant influence on the global financial landscape, whilst being challenged by high performing colleagues who maintain a dedication to constant learning and improvement; Aren is now at the forefront of the Systematic Trading team determined to maintain and improve what is already an outstanding legacy within the group.

Away from work, Aren has played Rugby for as long as he can remember which has given him the opportunity to travel the world.

He also has a passion for health and fitness; and enjoys stacking his bookcase with books on business, finance and self-development.
