Ed Donner

Ed Donner is GQR’s Chief Technology Officer, operating out of the New York office.

He works on creating and building innovative recruitment products with Artificial Intelligence, managing a team of software engineers and data scientists.

Ed brings two decades of technology leadership experience at JPMorgan, working in London, New York and Tokyo. He was an MD in Risk Technology, leading a global team of 300 technologists. Ed left JPMorgan in 2013 to found a startup, untapt, to build AI solutions in the recruitment industry.

At untapt, Ed and his team of engineers and scientists began working with GQR on a groundbreaking invention at the forefront of AI and recruitment. The project was a perfect fit for Ed and his team’s leadership in recruitment tech and machine learning – so much so that the two groups joined forces in 2019. The ideal marriage between innovation in technology and innovation in business.

Ed graduated from Oxford where he studied Physics. He was editor of the university newspaper and vice-president of his college’s student union. He is a badly out of practice house music DJ. But Ed does own a respectable collection of vinyl with a thick layer of dust.
