Nick Hewston

Associate Vice President

Nick Hewston is an Associate Vice President within GQR’s Energy and Engineering division. He specializes in Transmission & Distribution, operating out of the Los Angeles office.

Nick manages the Transmission & Distribution team, expertly positioned to connect leaders within the power delivery industry with businesses in need of top-tier talent. The team assists businesses in recruiting niche talent required to design, engineer and construct an array of power delivery projects from conception to completion.

Nick’s team works on both sides of the industry and offer its services to Utilities, Municipals & Electrical Cooperatives, as well as EPC companies, Engineering Consultancies and General Contractors. His team works with some of the biggest names in the industry and has a reputation for sourcing the “needle-in-a-haystack” candidates many clients require. Nick has a passion for renewable energy and is consistently seeking and learning about the cleanest and most sustainable ways to generate electricity and prevent the release of toxic pollution and global warming emissions.

His passion for the renewable industry has enabled him to relocate to California and build a fantastic network of like-minded professionals within the power industry.

Nick graduated with a degree in Business Management from St. Mary’s University in London and then proactively sought out his career in recruitment.

He has worked and lived in England, Australia and now the United States and has thoroughly enjoyed learning how each country’s recruitment market works, as well as immersing himself in the culture of each location. Outside of work, Nick is a huge soccer fan and a devoted Newcastle United supporter.

On the weekends, he coaches an under 14s soccer team and loves traveling to various locations in California to compete against the state’s best talent.
